Archie was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2008 at just 3 years old. Duchenne is a severe degenerative muscle-wasting condition, which will unfortunately lead to paralysis and significantly shorten his life. The condition is now starting to affect Archie’s daily life. As it is a degenerative disease, his condition will continue to worsen. At present there is no cure but treatment and support can help with both quality and length of life. The Hill family are currently fundraising for home adaptations requires to suit Archie’s increased needs.
Christopher Trigg successfully turned Rickmansworth Orange for a day in support of Muscular Dystrophy and Action 4 Archie! We raised £4,000 will the help of local schools and businesses, which will go towards the much needed research and home adaptations for Archie.
Further fundraising by Christopher Trigg will be taking place in 2019 as we continue to support our chosen charity.
