E-Commerce Insurance Overview
The E-commerce retail space is ever expanding with Forbes Magazine estimating global consumers will spend $1 trillion online in 2022. Platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, NotOnTheHighStreet and Shopify have enabled E-Retailers to set up and run successful businesses with relatively low initial investment and without the need of a physical store.
Online retailers have been known to grow to six figure businesses in a matter of months and with this comes the need for a more robust and complex online retailer insurance programme which is adapted and developed in line with this growth.
Amazon are the first platform to set a mandatory requirement for its sellers to hold Public and Products Liability insurance and we have already assisted hundreds of online retailer sellers with our specialist Amazon Sellers Insurance which could lead to other platforms following this stance, meaning sellers will require other services such as Etsy seller insurance and eBay seller insurance.
